Newspapers
Newspaper
advertising don’t necessarily have to be large
to grab people’s attention. The expression ‘less
is more’ or ‘white space sells’ is
never more poignant than when you are putting together
an advertising
campaign. Our creative team have had the experience
with not only national but also local brands and can
identify the key sales messages that need to be translated
into an eye catching piece of creative. The same principal
applies for other media choices such as radio and magazines,
keep it simple to ensure your brand identity and Unique
Selling Points (USP’s) are highlighted and not
lost.
Continuity is crucial in any marketing campaign so
as to establish brand recognition. Whatever your newspaper
advert says about your business this brand identity
will need to be the same everywhere; from business cards
to headed paper to point of sale material – a
consistent image will give strength to your message.
We can give you a concise direction in terms of design
branding for new product launches or diversifying with
an existing brand identity that needs refreshing.
In all our work we take into account the specific characteristics
of the medium we are designing for. With newspapers
it’s important to realise what you are printing
on and who is doing the printing. Newsprint is a much
more porous material than magazine paper stock and as
such fine print can become obscured if it’s too
small. The print quality with newspapers can also vary
widely with colours bleeding; consistency of colour
reproduction can vary widely; and even in certain cases
pages can be printed out of register, i.e. blurred.
Our team take all these factors into consideration
when designing your newspaper advertisement to ensure
a consistent quality product. Whatever your requirements,
our creative
design team will liase directly with you to ensure
your product or service can be translated into a powerful
sales message suitable for a newspaper environment.
